Famed investor Peter Lynch wrote about "buying what you know" and looking for stock ideas in products or services that you use.
While I was in our shop this week, I noticed the green Waste Management wheelie bin, and then a can of Krylon spray paint caught my eye.
Fun Fact: Krylon was acquired by Sherwin-Williams in 1990, and its name was created by combining the first and last letters of the founder's last name (Kester) with the first letters of "nylon."
Fun Fact: Founded in 1879 by Carl von Linde in Germany, Linde is now the world's largest industrial gas supplier and was formed through a merger with Praxair in 2018.
Fun Fact: Atkore was formed in 2010 when private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice purchased Tyco's electrical business, and the company went public in 2016.
Fun Fact: Formula 409 was invented in 1957 as an industrial degreaser, and according to some sources, got its name because it was the 409th formula tested.
Fun Fact: Rust-Oleum was founded in 1921 by sea captain Robert Fergusson, who discovered that fish oil prevented rust on his ship's metal deck.

Of these companies, I'm most interested in Waste Management, Sherwin-Williams, and Linde. They appear positioned to not only be technology disruption-proof but also to benefit from AI and tech innovations.
They're solid companies that rarely go on sale for a deep discount, and the best we can usually hope for is to pay a fair price for these wonderful businesses.
I'd love to know if you own any of these companies my employer has helped support or if you'd be interested in owning any of them.
Or, simply hit reply and let me know what dividend paying companies you use that might be interesting, I'll respond to every one!
😁THANK YOU to all who responded to the last newsletter!!
I'm a fan of Professor Scott Galloway and thought he had a very through provoking opinion on the future of the US stock market and where he's putting his money... Check him out on this guest appearance with the MFM boys.
🎦If you missed it, I kinda ripped into the OMAH ETF, but as a member of the Berkshire cult, I'd like to think I did our lord and savior Warren Buffett proud.😆

🚨A quick word: I'll be a guest speaker at the Blossom Investor event in Chicago on Tuesday, October 7th. Grab a 15% discount with DAPPER15.🚨 Don't you just love hearing old people talk? Last week, my earholes were pleasantly penetrated with the wise words of Howard Marks on the My First Million Podcast and one idea stuck. Getting ideas to stick like Band-aids can be quite the challenge when we're buried with a daily avalanche of information. Unless Elon Musk is going to put an memory chip...
It finally happened. For the first time in 538 days, the CEO of a company I own bought more of his stock with personal cash. Joey Agree, CEO of and you'll never believe it Agree Realty (ADC) bought 4,850 shares x $72.15 for $349,928 of his own money. No stock options, grants or gifts from the company. CEO-Buys.com When a CEO buys their own stock, it's a great sign because they're telling us loud and clear they expect the share price to be higher than it is right now. And, when you couple that...
What if a company that's been paying monthly dividends for 56 years was using an accounting trick to make their investments look better than they really are? That's exactly what I discovered about Realty Income (O) - 'the monthly dividend company' - and it made me start selling my shares. I was reading through some Seeking Alpha comments when I stumbled across someone pointing out an accounting trick that Realty Income uses. I often find the comment sections more valuable than the actual...
